The consultancy Ramboll and the proptech group Hydda are investing in the Swedish company Estate Logs. Together, they want to accelerate the development of data-driven and climate-smart property management.
The deal means that Ramboll becomes a partner in Estate Logs. At the same time, Hydda, which is owned by Vasakronan and blq Invest, among others, will become the majority shareholder in Estate Logs.
“The demands on property owners regarding climate impact and energy performance are increasing rapidly. The built environment accounts for about half of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions, of which property operations account for about a quarter. By digitising and gaining an overview of the operational data of properties, we can create better conditions for optimised operation and technical improvement measures. Hydda will be a driving force in this development”, says Hydda Group CEO Martina Skande.
Optimising property operations with AI
With artificial intelligence and millions of data points, Estate Logs optimises the daily work of supervision, maintenance and fault reporting. Operational data is collected, analysed and processed in the platform, which uses machine learning to progressively improve its calculations and recommendations.
“This is a strategic initiative for Ramboll, where our collaboration with Estate Logs can further contribute to a sustainable transformation of the real estate industry. With the help of data-driven consulting, we can now be a strategic partner to property owners, operating in an increasingly technically complex environment, and make a difference also in the operational phase of the property lifecycle”, says Anette Seger, CEO Ramboll Sweden.
Specialist competence strengthens Nordic expansion
Backed by its new owners, Estate Logs continues its ongoing Nordic expansion, says the company’s founder Björn Lindgren:
“We are really proud to have Hydda and Ramboll as new owners in Estate Logs. Now we can further develop our customer offering and together with Ramboll offer data-driven technical property management as a service. Our goal has always been to combine our digital platform with specialist technical expertise in order to offer a holistic concept for the operation and technical development of property portfolios. Together with Ramboll and Hydda, this is now becoming a reality.”
